Meet the Owners

Kathy is at home in the rodeo arena or the horse show ring- she has won four Barrel Racing Saddles with 3 different horses, and many Championship buckles-and is a 2 time winner of the NYS Horse Council Barrel Race held in the NYS Fair Coliseum. In the show ring Kathy has won many championships in the Hunter divisions on her gelding Thief of Hearts, fondly known as "Roo" whom she purchased from nearby Smoke Tree Farm. Kathy credits her success in the Hunter ring to her trainer Pat Coakley from Rochester.

Ward started his rodeo career as a bull rider, and since then has competed in every rodeo event - from riding saddle broncs to steer wrestling. He has competed at such prestigious rodeos as Madison Square Garden, Denver Stock Show, & Pocatello, Idaho at the National Circuit Finals, as well as the many rodeos within the North East PRCA Circuit. He even made a TV commercial for a well known camera company that showed him bulldogging a steer. Although he doesn't travel and compete as much, he and his horse Skid still make it to the pay window in the Team Roping.
